Overview

The Corporate Tax Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and identifying potential risks and opportunities for tax optimization within the organization. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of corporate tax returns, financial statements, and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to identify potential discrepancies, anomalies, or tax planning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and legal, to gather necessary information and documentation for audits.
  • Prepare audit findings reports and present them to relevant stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting practices to ensure the organization's ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and processes to minimize tax-related risks.
  • Provide support during external tax audits, working closely with auditors and providing requested documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of tax strategies that align with the organization's financial goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax regulations, laws, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
